Privacy Notice
RDS Alarm Privacy Notice
Effective date: 17 June 2026
RDS Alarm is operated by RDS ALARM LTD. This Privacy Notice explains how RDS Alarm handles information when someone uses the Android app.
RDS Alarm is a macro regime alarm for emergency planning and market-stress awareness. It monitors public market, macro, policy, and sentiment data and displays a Reset Stress Score. It does not require a user account.
Information We Collect
RDS Alarm collects and processes only the information needed to run the app:
- Device push notification token, if notifications are enabled.
- Device platform, so Android notifications are sent correctly.
- App service records, including score snapshots, indicator states, events, source health, alerts, and audit logs.
- Basic technical logs used to diagnose refresh, notification, or source-health failures.
Information We Do Not Collect
- Bank details, brokerage logins, exchange logins, holdings, or transaction history.
- Personal financial plans or user API keys.
- Precise location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, messages, or calendar data.
How We Use Information
- Display the current Reset Stress Score and regime state.
- Show indicator, event, history, and source-health information.
- Send rare Android push notifications when allowed alarm conditions occur.
- Maintain reliability, audit logs, and source-health checks.
Push Notifications
If a user enables alerts, RDS Alarm stores a device push token. This token is used only to send RDS Alarm notifications to that device. Users can turn notifications off at any time in Android settings.
Third-Party Services
- Supabase for backend database, Edge Functions, scheduled jobs, source health, audit logs, and app data API.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging for Android push notification delivery.
- Public data providers and official sources for market, macro, policy, and sentiment data.
- Google Play for purchase, download, update, and store distribution.
Data Sharing
RDS Alarm does not transfer user data for payment, does not use advertising trackers, and does not share user data for behavioural advertising. Device notification tokens and service records may be processed by Supabase, Firebase, Google, and infrastructure providers as needed to provide the app.
Data Retention
RDS Alarm keeps backend operational records while needed for service reliability, auditability, and historical score display. Device push tokens are kept while notifications are enabled or while the device remains registered. Old or inactive device tokens may be removed as part of normal maintenance.
Security
RDS Alarm uses encrypted network connections for app-to-backend communication. The Android app contains only public client configuration. Backend service-role keys, Firebase private keys, and data-provider secrets are stored server-side and are not included in the Android app.
User Choices
- Use the app without creating an account.
- Decline notification permission.
- Disable notifications later in Android settings.
- Contact the app owner to request removal of a registered device token or ask privacy questions.
UK Privacy Rights
Users in the UK may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection under UK data protection law. To make a request, contact rdsalarmsupport@gmai.com. Users may also contact the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes To This Notice
This Privacy Notice may be updated when the app, backend, data sources, or legal requirements change. The current version should be published at the privacy policy URL used in Google Play Console.
